As far as the eye could see...
Je te vois... everything happens for a reason

So long to my old squash racket. No matter what I say, you will always be my number one racket!

...

So I get this new racket today. A really nice one by Dunlop, that is. And its 50% off sale price tag certainly contributed to my smile of satisfaction. It's light, it's strong (as long as I don't misuse it, that is), and best of all, it's cheap!! Oh boy.. That was one helluva good game today. ^^

I had the dream today... And now I know what it is like to have a perfect vision that becomes really handy especially when you find yourself drowning in a NYC subway station during the rush hour. *wink*

And, by the way, a happy birthday goes out to Sam, who's probably getting wasted as I write this. Poor sucker. Too bad I'm not there to witness this event. hehehe

  my wish has come true
Always a way... it was only a matter of time.. school is closed for the day. heheheh

I don't know how, but I somehow got up at 7:30 this morning and checked the UW website. I really couldn't afford to miss another lecture of Cognition that was about to start in less than an hour. Entered the UW website, crossed my fingers, then closed my eyes and prayed. Timidly opened my eyes, and then started to slowly scan through the webpage for a hint. And there it was! UW closed today by winter storm, written in bold and red on a snowy white background. Whoever wrote that must be sent from Heaven, by Himself, I thought to myself. What a great feeling! :)

Already half-detached from this world, I left a happy note on MSN and then, almost immediately, I'd lost consciousness.

The fortune cookie says, Your happiness is intertwined with your outlook on life.

What do you think?

Hope Year of the MonkEs

May this lighter be used to ignite all your dreams and hopes for the year 2004, which happens to be a leap year.

Let me tell you something, my friend. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane.

Remember, hope is a good thing. Maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies.

- From The Shawshank Redemption, 1994.

  relaxing
A cold night in Ottawa... Something to keep me busy

So what do you think of this picture? Not too bad, eh? With some fluke and luck, and barely noticeable skill, I was able to produce this magnificent shot of Ottawa's one of few buildings. (hehehe) It's taken at the Parliament Hill and the building that you see is where Paul Martin works these days. By the way, Martin is the current Prime Minister of Canada. Built in mid-19th century, that's where the great leaders of this great country make great laws, such as free education, health care, and many more! And that sky-piercing structure is called The Peace Tower and, from the top of it, you get this really nice view of Ottawa. And of course, how can I resist? I did take some pictures but due to the absence of my camera's trusty tripod they didn't come out quite nice. Nonetheless, it was nice.. real nice. :)

Anyways. So what's new with me? Nothing really new, I guess. Oh, my squash racket is no more. Blame it on me. I need to calm down... Other than that, I'm still reading this book that I haven't had time to finish. A friend of mine told me that I'm blessed with an ability to fall asleep almost instantaneously when I hit the bed. But that gives me almost no time to read anything. Ahhh What to do.. And I'm tired.. See? I'm already tired and I'm not even near the bed.. I guess I won't be reading tonight either.. *yawn*

Montreal in 5 days...

Over a cup of coffee... First update of 2004!

This is one of the first pictures that caught my attention. For no particular reason, I guess. After many hours of struggling all I could achieve was to successfully undo all the changes I'd made to it. It's a weird feeling to feel uncomfortable being myself. Assuming I am who I claim to be. But why is it that I'm suddenly experiencing this awkwardness? This is not necessarily a bad thing, that's for sure.

I am myopic and it's killing me. I wanna see what's beyond my limited sight.

"Days pass by like cars on a busy highway. I am currently stuck at a traffic jam and I am powerless. I can only look forward to getting to my destination even though it's very far away. If I had the power to voluntarily fast forward the time then I'd call myself God."

Missing is what drives me. But who am I?

28 + 72 = 100 -> 1 + 0 + 0 = 1
